Hyoga has a bit more of protagonism at the beginning when they send him on a reconoise mission.

Asgard Arc- nice to learn a bit about Norse mythology.(We get something like this in the manga too but it is not on a very cheerful note though.)

I really liked this insight because they are shown as relatively happy and having fun like what normal kids do. There is also June's appearance and we get some nice rare flashback of the bronze saints when they were young before they were put in the regid training before being sent off to different places around the world. It has light comic moments which are rare bc as we watch the other arcs there aren't many. Sanctuary Arc- is the introduction to our heroes & it sets the scene.I try not to spoil the series too much for those that haven't watched it yet but I will make a mention of my highlights It is also noteworthy that the whole series have really amazing music! I also love that in almost all fights there is a moral lesson to be learnt - the messages are philosophical and complex and one can use it in real life situations too. The reason I can't decide on which is my favorite arc is because every battle the protagonists are involved in is either used to give some more insight into this character's history and how their past have affected them. I must admit that I fell in love with the Ikki in the manga because it show you his evolution first you see the protective caring older brother, then the grateful obedient disciple (reluctant to hate his mentor), a softer side of him when dealing with Esmeralda, how Esmeralda's death affects him and Guilty (his mentor) then tells Ikki something that makes Ikki lose it completely, Ikki's dealings with the Shaka & black saints, Ikki's reconciliation with his brothers, and then towards the end of the Santuary arc we get to see that Ikki has return to his old self - caring protective older brother and he also makes mention of how if he is to be reborn again he would want to have Shun, Seiya, Shiryu and Hyoga as his brothers (he says something to that effect I can't remember the wording of it)

become closer not only as comrades but as brothers. The manga states that all 100 orphans were Mitsumasa Kido's children! with the exception of Ikki + Shun who have the same mother (let's not forget Seika + Seiya have the same mother too) The way this little fact is played out really nicely in the manga and I found it very moving how gradually Seiya & co. I also love the bigger emphasis that is given to the bronze saints and how they are closely related.
